Why UCEPROTECT is an unreliable spam list!

Yes, we have a problem with a blacklist. A list so unreliable that we need to make a FAQ post about it.

Customers often come to us complaining that mxtoolbox seems to find a blacklist entry. And most of the time, it’s the same provider who judges our IP addresses: UCEPROTECT.

We are absolutely against spam emails. That much can be said. Because there is nothing more annoying than an inbox filled with pharmacy advertisements, penis enlargements, or money winnings.

However, UCEPROTECT has multiple levels of spam protection. Level 1 is the IP address itself, Level 2 is the IP network, and Level 3 is actually the entire network provider. We host our servers in the Netlinq/Synlinq network at Maincubes near Frankfurt am Main. And we are not alone. Many small and large providers use this network.

UCEPROTECT Level 3 explains their protection by marking an entire network provider as a spammer if only a tiny fraction of IP addresses in the same network (AS) send spam. This is practically unavoidable.

But the business practices go even further: For a lot of money, you can have your IP address removed from this list for a few days. This does not solve the problem, but rather, it’s extortion.

We have no contacts with UCEPROTECT, no means of removing IP addresses at Level 3, and we consider any mail server operator who uses this list to check for spam as an accomplice in these shady dealings.

We sincerely apologize if the entry for UCEPROTECT Level 3 has directed you to this page. But we cannot do anything about it. If you are not experiencing any issues with email delivery, you can simply ignore this spam list.

How long does the provisioning process take?

When you order something from us, you don’t want to wait long. Generally, all services are provisioned immediately unless otherwise communicated (low stock, maintenance, etc.).

What is Prepaid Hoster Pro?

Prepaid Hoster Pro is a feature expansion package for our Cloud Manager. We constantly come up with new features that we want to provide to our customers. But at some point, this becomes a problem. More features usually mean increased prices for our servers.

In order for you to continue renting affordable servers, we have created this monthly subscription package where we include some of the new features. This way, customers can still use the familiar features with their servers or enjoy additional features with PPH Pro.

The features are not sorted by release date or development progress. The list may also change or expand constantly, so please do not consider any of the features as guaranteed. We strive for a high-quality standard, which naturally reflects in the development time.

When the functionality expands, the price of the package will also increase. However, you are not forced to upgrade and can stay with the current generation until you decide to upgrade. When a new version is introduced, you will receive a worthwhile upgrade discount for a limited time.

How do I enable 2FA?

To protect your account, you can enable 2-way authentication (2FA) for login in the web interface.

You need a 2FA app, for example Google Authenticator. We support the OTP standard.

First, log in to the web interface.

In the web interface, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner to open the menu. Then select “Enable 2FA” (2FA aktivieren).

You will be redirected to a page with a QR code on it. You scan it with your favorite app for 2FA codes.

Now enter the first code that is displayed to you. After the verification your account is protected by 2FA and you will be asked for your current code every time you log in to the web interface.

I have lost my phone or cannot access my codes

If you lost your 2FA information, for example, if you lost your cell phone, you don’t have to panic. We can disable your protected access.

Please send us an e-mail to management@prepaid-hoster.de. The email must come from the mailbox of your customer account. Please note that we need to verify the account ownership for your own security. If possible, send us directly the last invoice number you received by email. After that an employee will remove the 2FA protection.

Request order data processing

As a website hoster, you may process personal data on behalf of your customers, for example when you host their websites or databases. In this case, it may be necessary for us to enter into a contract for commissioned data processing (ADV) with you.

An ADV is required when a service provider processes personal data on behalf of another company. In order to conclude an ADV, both the client and the processor must ensure that technical and organizational measures are taken to guarantee the security of the data.

Please contact us in support with further details. We will then check whether an ADV is necessary and send you a signed form.

Please note that we need your complete data for this. This is a prerequisite for the contract.

How to register?

Prepaid-Hoster: registration and login for domain and server usage

It is not actually intended that customers can register without buying an active service. Because what for? An account with Prepaid-Hoster only really makes sense once you have booked a domain or a server.

However, there are a few exceptions, which we of course take into account.

When you register, you need to verify your email address. We will send you a link that you must click on.

Log in to the web interface

After you have successfully created your account, you can log in to the web interface at www.vionity.de

Now you have access to the web interface and from there you can top up credits, order servers, contact support or manage others’ servers (via the unlock code).

How can I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account, there are a few steps to follow. First, you need to cancel all services such as servers and domains, and they must no longer be active. If you have any remaining credit on your account, it will expire when you delete your account. Please note that before deleting your account, you should contact customer support to start the process.

How does the deletion of my account work?

Once you have contacted customer support, your account and all personal data will be anonymized according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that your personal data, such as name and address, will be removed from our systems. Please note that we must comply with legal deadlines for the retention of invoices and transaction information, so these cannot be deleted.

What happens to my personal data?

Your personal data will be anonymized and removed from our systems in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). After anonymizing your data, login will be disabled.

Can I reactivate my account after it has been deleted?

No, it is not possible to restore a deleted account. According to the GDPR, once an account has been deleted, anonymized, or pseudonymized, there is no longer a way to assign the account to a natural person. However, if you wish to use our services again, you can create a new account and order the desired services.

How long does the account deletion process take?

After you have submitted a request to delete your account, a customer support representative will anonymize it immediately. Once the account has been anonymized, login and any form of contact will no longer be possible. Due to technical processes, it may take up to 24 hours for anonymization to be fully completed in all systems. Please note that anonymization is done automatically.

Currently there is no direct way to get an API key for the Prepaid-Hoster API.

However, you can sign up for the beta program on our Discord server and get an API key. You can then test the API and provide your feedback. Please note that we only distribute access to active customers.

How can I allow another user to access my cloud manager and game server?

In our web interface you have the possibility to give another person access to your cloud manager and the game server administration. We will explain you how to do that.

Your friend needs to have an account with Prepaid Hosters to be able to manage it in the web interface. Ask him or her to provide you with the release token. This can be found in

the web interface under “Other” > “Shares”.

For example, a token looks like this: MPJIKVSV-A3QR-QF2UUJ6E. You need this token.

Use share token

As the server owner, also go to “Other” > “Shares”. Click on “Grant new share” in the row of the server you want to share.

In the form that follows, enter the release token that you received from your buddy.

Now you can choose which pages you want to grant access to. You can withdraw the permission at any time.
